During this semester we have watched many interesting films that might possibly make you look at life differently. All of these films in english101 can be compared to one another very easily. They have alot of similarities but as well as many differences. All these are really philosophy movies and let you know how many other people may think of life. In the next four paragrahps I will compare as well as contrast all three films.
All three films The Matrix, Truman Show and Sleep dealer were really good films and all three have to do with escaping there own world to try to connect to another. I notice that each film kinda starts off the same way. In The Matrix as i remember Neo works as a business guy who makes software but he also works a seperate job working as a hacker. He soons finds out about some other system called the matrix and he really tries to find out whats it all about. In the Truman show the whole story plot revolves around Truman a guy who thinks he is living a normal life. But soon after he starts noticing some weird activity where he seems to see the same people everyday so he as well is dedicarted to find out what its all about. And finally we have the most recent film Sleep Dealer where the movie takes place in Mexico where theres a family which seems to be in the middle of no where. In the faimly theres this one teen which he builts a radio to try to listen in to other places to try to disconnect from his society and to connect himself to other places.
The two films where i see the most resemblings would defiently have to be Sleep dealer and The Matrix films. One feature that both films show would have to be that in the films many people have what seem to be called nodes on there body which basically are like portals to allow them to connect to what seams to be called the dream world. Both Neo and Memo use these nodes to escape their own world and connect it another to help there real society. But the difference is neo is entering to fight evil and save the world and Memo is entering to work and make money in order to help his family.But in the films they both have different effects from being plugged in.
Sleep Dealer has a different effect while being connected then The matrix does. In the film Sleep Dealer while memo is connected energy is being drained from his body in order to power a machine anywhere around the united states, So if he runs out of energey is could either pass out of just die. And in The Matrix Film its quite different because while your connected to the matrix anything that happens to you while your in there you can actually feel it right after you have been unplugged. So if anyone was to die in the matrix you would also die in the real world. So even if these films may have alot of similarities between one another they also have some differences as well.
One thing that I also see in these films that were able to talk about is race and why they pick a specific kind of race for the film. In sleep Dealer we have a typical hispanic family where the family is in struggle and they need money or food really bad. So even in real life situations many of the older simblings leave the family to go work in the city or even another country in order to find a job and help the family with moeny. In my situation my Father had to go through the same struggle in order to help his family in mexico so he came to the U.S when he was around 16 by himself to make money and send to his mom. At the end of every film Neo, Truman and Memo all find a way to dissconnect from the what peolpe might call the Matrix and look at what the real world is like.

Blog 10
In my opinion there are many big problems that writers face and these are some issues i faced as well when writing my research paper. The number one would have to be plagarism which is very is to avoid but as well as very easy to get things mixed up and end up putting quotes and not citing it. This semester seem to come along very well and hopefully end better. I am currently working with two classmates on our final and our topic 2012 and look up issues that we might face and see what people feel about this specific date. So i hoope to have no issues with our research.

well I'm working with a group of people and we have an idea of working on the topic of 2012.
Were thinking of doing a website on this and writing theories about what people think might happen adding videos of interviews that we might do on people and also add videos from websites and as well as writing articles about it.

Blog 9- Final project Ideas
Well since I'm working with some people we have like 2 or 3 ideas of topics to work on. One idea is to do a documentary on the life of a Aggressive Rollerblader and what are somethings they go through and how we always get tickets for skating somewhere we are not suppose to skate at. So this could be relating to breaking boundaries and we would also do a blog to go along with this.
Some other ideas ideas that came to mind is doing another documentary on the underground city in the transtation for example how bums live down there and how they stay stable. We would either do a research paper to go along with this or as well as a blog.
And the last idea would to recreate a film like paranormal activity and mess around with the wigi broad and see if we could actually come up with somethings and experience to see if its actually true. And the same with this project we would write a blog along with this to see our progress.

Option 2: Fate and free will-Do you think your life is determined by a special, individual, fate, or are you free to choose as you wish?
Me, myself as a person feels like no one makes any desisions of your life but yourself. There is no such thing as fate, because even if you fell that something is gonna happen you have the option of making your own decessions and changing it up. What you could do to make fate become a little true is whatever that goal might be, in the future on the path to get to your goal your gonna have to make the right decessions in order to get there. But you will always have the option of free will because there is always a chance to prevent something or encounter it differently.
Even in the matrix film, if you could remember when neo would visit the oracle(old lady) every time she would tell him about whats going to happen to him or someone or event that may happen Neo always had the option of believing what the oracle said or just leaving it aside and going on with his life. Neo may have been told what was going to happen but no matter what a person always has the option even if that person decides not to listen she/he is still making a choice.
Another part in the film that you can relate to the topic is when Cyperasks trinity "you call this free? All i do is what he tells me to do. If i had to choose between that and the Matrix, I choose the matrix." I feel like where ever cyper is wheather its the matrix or the real world he would have free will no matter what, becuase which ever he chooses he made a choice which is freewill and if he was to be in the matrix he wouldnt remember anything but in his mind he would be making his on dessions even in the matrix and if he was to stay in the real world with Morpheus or just leave and not work for him anymore.
In the Reading Chapter 8-Fate, freedom, and knowledge. pg 87 there is a perfect example of how free will could be expalined. In the begining there is a little quote that someone called rush wrote and it is "You can choose a ready guide in some celestial voice. If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice. you can choose from Phantom fears ans kindness that can kill; I will choose a path thats clear- I will choose free will." translating those words into my own i feel that by this what the writer is trying to say.. is for example lets say i have a girlfriend and one of her best friends comes up to me and tells me that she is planing to break with me, Is this fate? or d you have the option to believe it or not? what you could also do is believe it and as time goes by you vould make the options that may lead up to how you want things to happen.
Someone could write a whole life story of how your life might end up, you can make the decission to believing that someone wrote about you or you could make you own decissions, but no matter what through your life time you will always have free will just as everyone does around you, and how you have the choice to agree with me or not. God for bid but if someone is standing infront of you with a gun they are about to make the decission whether you live or not. Blog 8-Me ++
Well if i had to work up to the layers that define me or basically make me who i am today i would defiently start off with my hair. Then i would work up to my clothing which we use on a every day basics. Another big boundary is of course my apartment. Something that i would say that is like big bnoundary to me also is my skates which i use on a regular bases. And of course that last one where we spent most of our day in is school.
There are many things that are ment to penetrate these boundaries. These object can be found everywhere around us. Many of these objects can be found in our houses, some examples are from the technology we use fro example, the computer,radio,television and it also can even go from the sink, the shower and even the toilet. Something that I've noice that aslo break the boundaries are our notebooks which we always write notes on in school and bring it into somewhere esle.
And i would say that the time i dedicate to myself is when i do work at home and sit down and put effort in finishing it and also when we go to school and spend most of our time sitting in class. And last one would have to be my ipod which i use 95% of my time.

Blog 7: Essay 4 Reflection
Well The process to me completing my midterm paper as well as my powerpoint was just to focus and it for a while and just puttting some time into finishing it. What I usually do is find very good resources on the internet and read them to get some good information that way it will be easier to write about. Another thing i usually do is always look over what people wrote and had to say about my paper that way I could easily fix what i did wrong and wony make the same mistake.
In my powerpoint What I use to help me was the internet once again to help me with the images i needed and some good imformation to fit the images. The powerpoint wasnt somerthing really hard to do as in choosing the colors and how to set up. I guess I found it a little more easier since i went to an art school and used powerpoint before so i found it alright to use and not as hard.
