How would we know if we are in the matrix?
If the matrix was to be real how would we know if we're really in it or not? We wouldn’t, this is because if the matrix really exists then we would be blinded by what is around us which is the dream word. Everything seems so real to us now but we are so blinded by this perfect world from the truth. In the book “The matrix and philosophy” It explains about “Does neo know that he was in the matrix” Well neo was the type of person that did many illegal things on his computer and he came to believe of something called the matrix but didn’t know exactly what it was. So being the he didn’t know about it he met Morpheus and asked him start up “what is the matrix?” Morpheus hearing this gave him a choice of a red or blue pill and tells him that he can’t tell him what the matrix is and that he has to see it for himself. It also explains in the book the no one can be told to believe something unless they see it with their own eyes.
Judging Reality
I know me from my own perspective have thought about reality and made many questions to myself about what is real or not, or what happens when u pass away and where do you end up at? The book gives us a perfect example of what can be given as a definition of what is reality. The quote says “what is real is that which provides the most vivid and pleasurable experience.” So in my mind this quote means that what makes us feel good and gives us pleasure and also what we so very clearly and understand and use our senses to indentify it perfectly.

Blog 2- Matrix Review
Now that I have seen the movie The Matrix a couple of times i feel like I've gotten a better understanding of what it really means. At first i thought it was all just made up stuff that people made up out of nowwhere, but now I see that people get there ideas from other resources. I've also notice that you can related to other stuff for example jesus or religion and race. Actually realizing what was really the matrix made me think if the matrix was actually real, but even if it was we wouldnt know the difference. The socrates cave made me look at life differently also as if we only have been shown very little in our lives until we move on until our lifes of our own.
Some questions that come to mind while we were having discussions in class was, what if Neo and the rest of the crew were really persue as the good guys but were really the bad guys. And it also made me think what if the dream word(matrix) is really the good world and the real world in the movie is the fake world. So all along it could be that the director could have changed things around to make it a little different or completely different to make to switch around. Its funny how when you see a movie for the first time sometimes you may think nothing of it, but when you see it in a different way you can see it and look at it in a completely different way.

Blog 1: The Allegory of the Cave
well from my prespective the socrates cave is kind of like the matrix movie where everything around you is basically fake untill you release everything is not real and you walk out the cave and hit the light. In my point of view if I was to ever be in the socrates cave i would have to say that right now i feel that i have left the cave because I feel like i hit reality now because of how i notice that how life would be if I was to live by myself. I say this because I feel like I have been living an easy life during my first years in school from the begining to the end of high school, and now that i have started college i feel as its more of my reponsibility to take care of myself and buy my own stuff and study harder.
Before college i felt as if my parents always helped me out and I also felt as if my teachers always asked for the work I was missing and before starting college I would hear that college was more of doing your work in time because no one was going to ask you for your work so either you do it or not. Now that I'm in my classes i see that my teachers are not have bad. So i guess i might be right in between trying to exit the cave but still having a rope tied somewhere on me not fully letting me go.
